  • Your first session (the intake) is a 55 minute appointment focused on understanding your story, your strengths, and what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore your goals, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to change. You’ll never be pushed to share anything before you’re ready. Safety and pacing are always honored.

  • Yes. Schoettle Counseling offers in-person and secure virtual therapy for children, teens, and adults throughout Indiana. Many clients choose hybrid care depending on their week and needs.

  • Yes, we are in-network with:

    • Carelon / Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

    • Optum / UnitedHealthcare

    • Aetna

    We also accept:

    • HSA / FSA cards

    • Superbills for out-of-network reimbursement

  • Yes. A limited number of reduced-fee spots are available for clients facing financial hardship.

    • Initial Intake (50-55 min): $160

    • Follow-Up Sessions (~53 min): $140

    • EMDR Intensives:Self-pay only — rates vary based on length (2-hour, 3-hour, or half-day options).

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma treatment that helps the brain process painful memories so they stop feeling overwhelming. Many clients experience significant relief in fewer sessions compared to traditional talk therapy.

  • Yes! EMDR Intensives are extended 2–3 hour sessions designed for faster, deeper healing. These are ideal for clients who want quicker results or have limited weekly availability.
